I wanted to share a Happy Birthday card I created using minimal supplies:
I’ve found this is a popular design, probably because it is simple, yet colorful. It is layout I go to often when I find patterned papers I want to mix together without creating an overwhelming design.

One of my favorite solutions when I have a creative block is to go to my card stash. I usually take a picture of each card I make and store it on my computer to take note of what I’ve done in the past or to show people samples of my work. I recently fell into a creative slump and needed something to inspire me. I scrolled through images of past cards I’ve made, chose one that stood out to me, and used it as a starting point to create something similar.

This method usually gets my creative juices flowing, and gives me a chance to create more of my favorite cards from the past.
