Happy Birthday – SC #2

I’m particularly proud of this card design because I stepped away from my normal tendencies and tried something a little different. I stamped the adorable Penny Black Greetings stamp and Stampabilities Happy Birthday 10 stamp directly on yellow patterned paper from The Paper Studio, and colored it in with Ranger Distress Markers. Stamping directly on patterned paper is not something I’ve done before. I’m very happy with the results of this card, and plan to try this technique again in the future.

Happy Birthday – SC #1

I have A LOT of stamps. A lot. Since there are possibly hundreds that I’ve never touched, I decided to challenge myself to use every single stamp I own at least once. This could possibly take years and years, but I’m up for it! Once I use a stamp, I put a piece of washi tape on it to mark that it’s been used as part of the challenge. I hope this will help me to stretch my stamps and think outside the box as I will no longer look to grab the same designs over and over.

The first stamp I chose was a rubber Happy Birthday stamp from Inkadinkado. I chose this one because my rubber stamps tend to get neglected and I’m very short on happy birthday cards.

New Personalized Stamp

I’ve been MIA since February with the birth of my first child, but hopefully I’ll be getting back into my crafty groove soon! Right before I went on my hiatus, I received a personalized stamp that I had ordered off of Etsy. I love how it turned out! Now I just need to start posting regularly since I’ll be stamping my website on the back of all my cards. 😉
