I am participating in another online card class that will be focusing on patterned paper, and I thought I would post one of my recent cards that has a little more emphasis on patterned paper.
This is very similar to a birthday card I shared a few weeks ago, but that’s ok! I still like it! 🙂

For Day 2 of the Holiday Card Class, I recreated a card design by Lisa Spangler. She used strips of paper cut from a large background stamp to create several cards with different designs. It gave me an opportunity to use my colored embossing powders, a leafy background stamp I don’t use very often, and use my scoring board for extra texture.
It wasn’t until I had everything stamped out and cut that I realized the leafy background isn’t really along the theme of the holidays, so I used a “just for you” sentiment. It could maybe work for the holidays? 🙂 Either way, I learned a new way to utilize a large background stamp to create different designs on multiple cards.
